ATTORNEY BIOGRAPHIES

David B. Kahn graduated with honors from Washington University in 1964, ranking first in the School of Economics, and received a J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1967. Mr. Kahn has litigated numerous suits in both the state and federal courts and conducted many appeals in these courts. He was chief counsel to the Sparling Commission of the American Civil Liberties Union which studied civil disturbances preceding the 1968 Democratic National Convention in Chicago. Mr. Kahn is also President of Capital Market Reform, a not for profit organization dedicated to the promotion of checks and balances in our capital markets.  He is a founder of the Chicago Bar Association Committee on Class Litigation. Mark E. King graduated with honors from Northwestern University in 1980 and with high honors from IIT/Chicago-Kent College of Law in 1985, where he was a member of the board of editors of the Law Review, won the IIT/Chicago-Kent College of Law School Moot Court competition, won the 1984 Corpus Juris Secundum Award for significant legal scholarship, and received the 1984 American Jurisprudence Award for scholastic achievement. He was also the winner of the ABA section of Urban, State and Local government law award for scholastic achievement in the area of Land Use Law and the author of "Federal Preemption of the State Regulation of Nuclear Power: State Law Strikes Back Silkwood v. Kerr-McGee Corporation," IIT/Chicago-Kent Law Review (1984). He has served as counsel in numerous actions in both the state and federal courts and has conducted many appeals in the Illinois and Federal appellate courts. Henry F. Field graduated cum laude from Harvard College in 1962 and obtained his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School, magna cum laude and Order of the Coif, where he was Managing Editor of the Law Review.  He clerked for Mr. Justice Walter V. Schaefer of the Supreme Court of Illinois and served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Columbia.  Mr. Field became a litigation partner in the Chicago firm of Mayer Brown & Platt in 1975, joined the Chicago firm of Friedman & Koven as a litigation partner in 1979 and more recently has had an of counsel relationship to David B.
