David B. Kahn graduated with honors from Washington University in 1964, ranking first in the School of Economics, and received a J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1967.  Mr. Kahn has litigated numerous suits in both the state and federal courts and conducted many appeals in these courts.  Mr. Kahn has participated in mediations and arbitrations for many years and has been trained and certified as a neutral by Northwestern University.  He was chief counsel to the Sparling Commission of the American Civil Liberties Union which studied the civil disturbances preceding the 1968 Democratic National Convention in Chicago.  He is a founder of the Chicago Bar Association Committee on Class Litigation.  Mr. Kahn is also president of Capital Market Reform, a not-for- profit organization dedicated to protecting our economy and our democracy by strengthening the checks and balances in our capital markets.  He is co-author of Who’s The Boss?: Controlling Auditor Incentives Though Random Selection, 53 Emory Law Journal 393 (2004) and author of Let’s Get Real–Why The Sarbanes Oxley Act Is A Sham.
